Adriana Gomez, DMD

Dr. Adriana Gomez is originally from Colombia, where she obtained her DMD with distinction from Bosque University in Bogota, Colombia in 1995 and in 2000 specialized in Periodontics and Oral Medicine at the same university.

Her interest in gum disease, implants and bone regeneration, inspired her to pursue to become a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (RCDC). In 2013 she graduated from The University of Manitoba as a Periodontal Specialist. Based on her academic excellence, she was awarded the Alpha Omega Scholarship and she also received Research Recognition from the National Research Council of Canada. She also obtained her Conscious Sedation Certification.  Dr. Gomez authored poster presentations at the American Academy of Periodontology Conference in Miami in 2011 and Los Angeles in 2012. 

She is a member of the Canadian Academy of Periodontology, the American Academy of Periodontology, the Manitoba Dental Association, the Manitoba Society of Periodontists, the Canadian Dental Association, the Chicago Dental Society, Alpha Omega fraternity, and the Conscious Sedation Study Club of Manitoba.

In 2015, she received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Colombian Association of Manitoba for her contributions, dedication, and progress of the Province of Manitoba as a Periodontist, presented by the Mayor of Winnipeg, Brian Bowman. She has been apart of the All Musical Dentist Musicals. In 2017, she had a main roll in Lucky stiff as “Rita Laporta”, and in 2019, a roll in the assemble in The Adams Family, where she had to go outside of her comfort zone singing, dancing, and acting for charity purposes.

Dr. Gomez owns her own specialty practice and her portfolio includes all aspects of gum, and bone issues, and implantology.  Her office is certified in IV Sedation, and Nitrous Oxide Sedation; and her practice emphasizes high quality procedures, patient education and excellence in clinical care.  Dr. Gomez uses the most up-to-date technology to remain abreast of the latest techniques and treatment options.
